Now I know I started this whole blog thing, in response to the many many requests, but it's come with some reluctance. I know I'm living in one of the most alive cities in the world, but to tell you the truth, my life isn't all that exciting right now. I usually go to work and come home and go out every now and then but it's not like the opening credits to the Mary Tyler Moore show (You know, she's walking around the city and at the end throws her hat up in glee as it freezes) I guess what I'm trying to say is I probably won't be updating regularly unless any of you care about poopy diapers and/or what shape the dried spit up up my shirt is in. (One time there was a scary resemblence to Alf on my shoulder.)
So I'm going to start with Easter. My first Holiday away from home unless you count Martin Luther King Day (I don't) or Drunken Irish Day, I mean, St. Patricks Day. I was invited to a dinner two floors down where about ten other people came. Everyone contributed to this meal. And, I'm not trying to offend anyone here, but I'm pretty sure it was the best home cooked meal I've ever had. Or at least the best one I've had in a long time. I was assigned (along with my roommate, Carlynne) to the salad. We came up with a salad that everybody enjoyed, and I loved being innovative and creating something so unique and delicious! It was mixed greens, chopped parsley, segmented grapefruit, asiago cheese, and poppy seed dressing. It was amazing!

Our salad's in the orange bowl. Also pictured is a three bean salad, sliced potato's in the best cheese sauce ever created, pork tenderloin cooked with apple slices and cinnamon, asparagus, and some girls head*. The center piece on the table was unlike anything I've ever seen created that wasn't professionally done, and the place settings were so cute. Here are some more pictures from the event:

(Note the girl to guy ratio. Sorry ladies, he's taken. He also, I might add, is responsible for the place settings and centerpiece. There's nothing that makes you feel more like a Man Beast then having a guy be more crafty than you.) All in all, it was a really classy get-together and I was really proud to be apart of it.
Ok, I still have to post pictures of Jenny and NATalie coming and visiting, and trust me there're good ones, but I now have to buy a usb cord for my camera. So those will have to wait for another time.
One more thing. There's a very special day coming up that I think we're all anticipating. And no, I'm not talking about National Pigs In A Blanket Day (Apr 24) I'm talking about my birthday! So technically I did get brought home from the hospital in a blanket. Anyway, I've had some requests (Ok, one) for a list of my wants and needs, and here goes:
*Mac AirBook Pro. (Heh, I can dream, can't I?)
*Still wanting those boots. Ones that are less expensive then the $328 prototype:
*Perfume called Daisy by Marc Jacobs
*Leather messenger bag. Go here and click on Women's Bags, Messenger Bags, and it's the second one on the second row. So beautiful and I found it in a little shop where the guy makes his own stuff. Pretty cool.
*Lost Season 3 on DVD, Arrested Development on DVD, or Scrubs on DVD.
*Cool earrings, I like gold stuff, and things that aren't too dangly.
*Any everyday things you think I would need that I won't have to pay for myself. Hee hee
*Anything from Anthropologie's Home/Bedroom collections. Love their stuff.
*And when all else fails and you have no money, a call from you. Just knowing you remebered is good enough for me.
Phew. Long post. This should tide you over for a while. And, trust me, it'll have to.

Ok, that's hilarious! I was lauging my buns off!! (I wish) The centerpiece is AMAZING, the colored eggs are very cute, and that guys is pretty lucky surrounded by all those girls. And tell us how you really feel about MLK day - HA!!!
I wish too Drea... for me I mean. Anyway, so glad the posts continue. You don't have to have a picture to entertain us in the blogging world you know. Wow, I wish I was invited to that meal. Are these people chef geniuses or did it all just come together in a coincidental fashion? Is it really your birthday this month? I thought it was next... =) And I've already got you something so sorry, you posted the list a little late. You just might have to wait a little longer to get it though, til we visit. Which hopefully will come as long as the kids aren't sick **crossing fingers** and hopefully their illness now will count for the one they usually get in VA. Anyway, I didn't mean to make a post on your blog with this long comment... but hey, who are we kidding... I know you are enjoying it! =) Keep em coming...
